Despite not paying the participation fees, Liberia was part of the 2024 Amputee Nations Cup draw held Friday in Cairo, Egypt.
The local federations had raised the red-flag that the country would have missed on this year’s nations cup, if a participation fees of US$k wasn’t paid by the government of Liberia.
The Government through the Sports Ministry according our source wrote the Confederation of Africa Amputee Football assuring to pay the amount and all liabilities of Liberia Amputee Football Federation.
Liberia were placed in Group B of the draw alongside Morocco, Senegal and Uganda. In Group A are Egypt ,Cameroon , Nigeria and Burkina Faso.
Ghana, Kenya ,Gambia and Algeria were are in ππΏπΌππ½-π, while defending Champions, Angola leads group D along withTanzania ,Sierra Leone and Rwanda .
The Amputee Africa Cup of nations will run from April 19-28,2024 in Cairo, Egypt.
