A group under the banner, Citizens United to Promote and Develop Sports, has unanimously endorsed Liberia Football Association (LFA) former Vice President for Operations, Mr. Cassell Anthony Kuoh Sr. for the LFA Presidency.
The group in a statement said, it’s time that football stakeholders in the country weed out the failed LFA leadership headed by Mustapha Raji, and project a man with passion for football and the footballing community.
The National Coordinator Amara Toure said, his organization is overwhelmingly convinced that Mr. Kuoh is the best-suited to lead the LFA at this critical juncture.
The Citizens United to Promote and Develop Sports is a local sporting organization whose quest is to ensure that sports in Liberia is developed and promoted.
“In these critical times of the Association, it’s only prudent that the current president be replaced, and we bring on board someone who has worked within the footballing sector for years, and has a mark of legacy,” Toure asserted.
He said, Cassell Anthony Kuoh Sr. is the best-suited to serve as a beacon of hope for Liberian football, once he’s given the chance to head the LFA, as president.
Mr. Toure also noted that his institution is a testimony for the effective and efficient workings carried out by Mr. Kuoh, while serving the LFA as Vice President for Operations.
The LFA, or Liberia Football Association is that body that governs the affairs of football in Liberia, and converges ever four-year to conduct elections in keeping with its statute.
Football stakeholders are expected to go to the polls in April, 2026 when Raji’s second term expires to hold new elections.
And the Citizens United to Promote and Develop Sports believes that the ascendancy of a reputable football lover in Mr. Kuoh, will significantly boost Liberian football.
The group further indicated that the founder and Chief Executive Officer has made countless contributions in the promotion and development of youthful Liberians.
